"Dome" Residence

The original structure was preserved with a minimal amount of materials and costs with no disruption to the environment. The new dome encapsulated the orginal dome providing space for additional foam insulation greatly increasing the thermal efficiency.

"Green" Features: power generation sudies included fuel cells, biomass, active and passive solar and wind mills. All development was required to meet the ecological standards of an independant international non profit preservation organization.


Ecological Tourist Village - Turkey

The title of this project expresses the intent to satisfy every possible ecological principle promoted by the Global Ecovillage Network, (GEN). Also intended was a socio-economic organizational model to reflect a spiritual intent of equality and growth.

"Green" study features: hydro power, solar power, wind power, "Living Machine" waste treatment, local architecture, local materials, local construction means and methods, local culture integration, local economy.

"Laranjeiras" Residential Village - Brazil

"Green" Features: Self contained and financed infrastructure, water treatment, waste treatment (both uncommon at the time in Brazil), power generation, self flushing marina, worker housing.

Historic Renovation

The original existing house dated from the 1600's with an addition in the 1700's and a final 1800 addition. The entire structure needed a complete renovation. The challenge was authentic restoration of all three different styles and techniques of construction, preserving a unique architectural legacy.
